Cracking in the mains, between the cylinders, even up into the lifter valley can happen.

The block with good machine work should do 700. Many here use 2 bolt but they use the ARP bolts or studs in the mains. I would definately use a L19 rod bolt or better for insurance for anything above 5500rpm.
