I've been trying to remove it so I can get rid of my first horse and buy another, but I'd like to keep the existing saddle. Don't quote me on this because I have't verified it (don't want to buy another stall for $150 bucks right now,) but I think you have to buy an open stall, buy the horse, then you might be able to swap saddles to the new horse.
